Destination Highlights

Best Time to Travel
January, March, July, October (especially for beaches) and November

East Africa is great to travel to year round, and each season has its advantages.

  • January-March – Summer months (very warm)
  • March to June and November to January- Rainy Season
  • October and November encompass the high season in East Africa, and for good reason, these are the months that the The Great Migration takes place. East African Migration is the largest mammal migration in the world. Millions of wildebeest and zebras drift throughout the African Plains in search of food and water. The Great Migration expands from the Serengeti Plains to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.
